Afghanistan Peace Action lecture meeting / アフガニスタン ピース・アクション講演会

We will hold a lecture meeting at Tokyo on November 20th, 2019, with the theme of “Peace Action in Afghanistan.” jointly sponsored by ACRP and JVC (Japan International Volunteer Center).

来たる11月20日、東京にて、ACRPと日本国際ボランティアセンター共催による『アフガニスタン「ピース・アクション」講演会を開催いたします。

We will invite Mr. Memlawal, a representative of a local NGO called “Your Voice Organization (YVO).” He was born in the battle field village of Memla in Afghanistan in 1976 and took refuge in Pakistan during the internal conflict in the 1980s. He returned his home country in 2004 after the conflict and joined JVC. He was a head of the JVC Afghan Office. Together with his comrades, he founded the YVO in 2019 officially recognized by the government.

現地NGO「Your Voice Organization」の代表であるメムラワル氏を招へいします。彼は1976年アフガニスタンのメムラ村生まれです。80年代の内戦で隣国のパキスタンに難民となって移住しました。2004年に帰還し、JVCの活動に参加しました。JVCアフガン事務所所長に就任し、2019年には仲間と共にYVOを創設しました。

They are now committing to the peace actions for realizing peace through dialogue, by being fully aware of the limit and sadness of oppressing armed forces by armed forces.

彼らは武力を武力で制しようとすることの限界と哀しさを、身をもって実感し、対話の力で平和を目指す取り組みを行っています。

It will be a precious opportunity for us to listen to and learn directly from Mr. Memlawal about the unknown reality in Afghanistan and their life-risking activities to get back the peace. Let us think over the “Peace through dialogue” together through Afghanistan.
