Our determination at ACRP EC meeting in India / インドACRP執行委員会での決意

ACRP EC meeting was held at Bengaluru in India last week, and 40 EC members including observers from 11 countries attended. Open-minded and frank dialogue and discussion were made during the 3-day meeting.

先週、インドのバンガロール市でACRP執行委員会が開催されました。11か国から正式代表並びにオブザーバー40名が参加しました。胸襟を開いた率直な対話と討議が行われました。

The central theme of EC meeting was the 9th General Assembly of ACRP in Tokyo, Japan to be held in 2020 and the discussion on the mid and long-term strategic action plan which aims at growing ACRP to an action-oriented organization based upon inter-religious dialogue.

ECの中心テーマは2020年に日本の東京で開催予定の第9回ACRP全体総会、並びに行動指向型の運動体へ成長していくための中・長期的な戦略計画の検討でした。特にいかにして対話に基づく具体的行動を起こしていくかが重要な課題として話し合われました。

All participants seriously discussed as to how to secure human and financial resources as it is apparent that funds are required to implement concrete actions and activities in the various issues we human beings are facing within such fields as violence, human trafficking, child labor, lack of education, climate change, and refugee issue, etc.

参加者全員が、暴力、人身売買、子供労働、教育の欠如、気候変動、難民問題等の分野で人類が直面している諸課題に具体的な行動を通して対処すべく、いかにして人的、財的資源を確保していくかを真剣に話し合いました。

Let us start with ourselves to make best efforts without sparing any, and let us call our neighbors, friends, people living together in our society and country. We shall start donation with even 1 dollar or 10 dollars and shall serve our physical bodies, minds, and knowledge to others. So we vowed each other.

まずは自らが最大の努力を惜しまずにしよう、そして身近な人、隣人、社会、国に共に生きる人々に連帯と協力を真剣に呼びかけていこう。具体的には1ドルでも10ドルでも自分ができることから献金をし、自らの身体と知識を他者のために捧げていくことを誓い合いました。

To put our ideas into practice in a concrete way, EC has also decided to change ACRP’s four standing commissions to working commissions. It is one of the symbols of our firm determination in growing ACRP to the more action-oriented organization, namely a movement.

私たちのアイデアを具体的な実践に移していくために、ECはACRPの四つの常設委員会を行動委員会へ移行する決定も行いました。ACRPをより行動指向型への組織、つまり運動体へと成長させるための私たちの固い決意のシンボルの一つになりました。

Is our future blight or dark? It’s up to the resolution of each one of us.

私たちの未来は明るいか、暗いか？それは私たち一人一人の決意にかかっているのです。
