いのちがいのちを傷つけ合う時、いのち全体がその生命力を弱めていることに、まだ私たち人類は気づいていないのでしょうか。未だに、人間同士が戦い、戦争を繰返しています。国家や民族の自己主張に基づいているからです。武器を使ったいのちの奪い合いですが、武器もどんどんｴｽｶﾚｰﾄし、一度に大量のいのちを奪うことができる力を持っています。いのち全体の生命力を弱めていることにどうして人類は気づかないのでしょうか。武器により人がいのちを落としていきます。人だけではなく、動植物も命を落とします。
When lives damage each other’s lives, the whole life is weakening its life force. Yet we humankind has not realized it. Still, we humans are fighting each other, and repeat wars because we base our thoughts on national and ethnic self-assertion. Wars are scrambles for life using weapons, and they are more and more escalating, having the power of killing many lives at a time. Why doesn’t humankind realize that it weakens the vitality of life as a whole? People will lose their lives with weapons. Not only people but also animals and plants die.
所詮人類は、弱肉強食の頂上に君臨する動物であるだけなのでしょうか。ホモサピエンスという智恵のある動物であるのならば、この地上で許容される範囲で人類はそのいのちを営むべきではないでしょうか。
After all, is humanity just an animal that reigns over the top of the jungle law? If we are an animal with wisdom as Homo sapiens means, should we human beings behave within a range that is acceptable on the earth?
いのちの本来の姿は、進化・発展であり、いのち全体が進化・発展することに自分も貢献する、そういう大きな志と信念がとても大切であると思います。いのちは全体として脈々と流れ、続いており、私のいのちもその大切な一部だからです。いのち全体がよき流れとなるか、よどむか、それは自分にも大きな責任がある、それが信仰者としてのミッションです。
Life’s original image is evolution and development, and I should contribute to evolve and develop the entire life. I think such big aspirations and beliefs are essential. Life as a whole flows and continues, and my life is also a vital part of it. Whether will our whole life system become a good flow or stagnation? I have a big responsibility, too. It’s a part of the mission of believers, I think.
生を受けてから、死を迎えるまで、長いようで短いいのちです。すべてのいのちは相互依存で成り立っています。相互依存の掟を忘れ、破り、自己主張し過ぎたとき、いのちの流れは淀んできます。相互依存の中でのみ、いのちは存在し得る、そのことを忘れてはならないと思います。
Life seems to be long or short from birth to death. All lives are interdependent. When we forget and break the rule of mutual interdependence, and assert ourselves too much, the flow of life can be stagnated. I think we shall not forget that life can exist only in interdependence.
すべてのいのちは等しく尊い、このいのちの尊厳性を私も、ACRPも言葉と行動を通して発信し続けたいと思います。
All life is equally precious, and I want to continue to disseminate the dignity of all lives through words and actions.
