出生届 / Birth registration

今、世界中で出生届の重要性が叫ばれています。出生届がないと人としてこの世に生まれてきた証明書がないので、存在しない存在として、様々な面で犠牲になる可能性が生じるのです。

The importance of the birth registrations is appealed to the current world. There arise possibilities that more and more people will become victims in many fields, as they are not officially recognized as social beings due to the lack of the birth registration certificate.

その代表例が児童婚、少年兵、少女買春、その他の人身売買です。たとえば憲法で定められている18歳以下の結婚は認めないという法律もいくらでもごまかしが効いてしまうのです。

The typical examples are child marriage, child soldiers, child prostitution and other forms of child human trafficking and so on. For example, the law which forbids the marriage of under 18 years of age is easily broken by anyone.

この問題はとても深刻で、子供達や少年少女が多数犠牲になっているのです。ACRP としても出生届を推進するためにできることを模索中です。

It is a severe problem that victimizes so many children and young adults. ACRP is now seeking the way of promoting birth registration.

簡単な解決法はありません。チラシなどを配るだけでは効果はほとんどないというのが実際に出生届活動に従事している人たちの言葉です。

There seems no easy way to solve this issue. The people who are working on this activity say that it won’t produce much effect only by distributing flyers.

私たちの知り合いにアフリカのある国で出生届活動に従事している現地の若者がいるのですが、彼はとにかくリーチアウトしかない、と村々を訪れては人々にその大切さを訴えています。少しずつですが着実にその成果は現れています。

I know one young person who is committed to this activity in a country in the African continent, and he visits villagers and stresses the importance of birth registration with the conviction of outreaching people. He witnesses the effect little by little.

大切な未来の命が犠牲になり続けることをただ異国での出来事と見過ごすことはできません。ささやかですが現地で頑張っている仲間を応援していきたいと思っています。

We cannot just overlook the continuing victimization of the valuable lives of our future generations, as sad incidents in other countries. We want to support those who are endeavoring in this field evening a small way.

一人から始める平和活動、私たちは微力ではあるけれど、無力ではない、この言葉を 自分に言い聞かせながら、できることを探して生きていきたいと思います。

I want to live my life by seeking what I can while telling me that we are not powerless even though our power is small and that peace actions can be taken by each one of us.
